Nel 2000, dopo un lungo lavoro di pre produzione, partirono le riprese dell’ambizioso film “Il Magico Natale di Rupert”. Lavorammo con tecniche molto artigianali e, inutile dirlo, con pochissimi soldi a disposizione. Grazie agli enormi sforzi del regista Flavio Moretti e di tutto il gruppo di lavoro, Il risultato estetico, fu di ottimo livello. Tutti noi eravamo convinti che, visti i risultati, qualche produttore, aggiustando il tiro, avrebbe colto l’occasione per dare il via a nuove produzioni con la squadra vincente. Questo non accadde e il film ad oggi rappresenta un’altra delle tante occasioni mancate dal nostro fantastico sistema cinematografico.
In 2000, after much pre-production work, we started shooting the ambitious film ‘Rupert’s Magical Christmas’. We worked with very artisanal techniques and, needless to say, with very little money at our disposal. Thanks to the enormous efforts of director Flavio Moretti and the entire team, the aesthetic result was excellent. We were all convinced that, given the results, some producer, fixing a more precise target, would take the opportunity to start new productions with the winning team. This did not happen and the film to date represents another of the many missed opportunities of our fantastic film system.
